MIRACLE OF DIVINE CONNECTION

Divine has to do with God.
·         Connection means something that joins or connects two or more things.
·         Miracle - an unusual or wonderful event that is believed to be caused by the power of God, a very amazing or unusual event, thing, or achievement, an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.
See what you enjoy when you are connected to God!
Special Treatment: Gen.5:24
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Walking with God is different from working for God. It's possible to work for God and not walk with God. People who walk with God have relationship with Him, but those who only work for God do not have relationship with Him. Enoch walked with God and he enjoyed special treatment from God.
2.       Divinity robes on you: Exo. 34:29-30
Moses was so connected to God and his face shone because he had spent time with Him. When we spend time with God, our bodies become carriers of His glory.
3.       Access to God's ways: Psalms 103:7
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The ways produce the acts. Until one knows the way of God, he cannot be used to demonstrate His acts. When you are connected to God, He shows you His ways.
John 6:6 - And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. You cannot be confused when you have access to God's ways.
4.       Access to the word that brings uninterrupted supply: 1Kings 17:2-3&8-9
Elijah was so connected to God that even in time of famine he had uninterrupted supply, because he constantly received words from God.
HOW TO CONNECT TO DIVINITY
Man is first of all spirit. If you starve your spirit of things that enable it to connect to divinity, you will suffer dryness and spiritual imbalances.
·         Create time to pray daily. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Luke 9:28-30. Prayer connects you to God and makes His life flow into you.
·         Create time to read study and meditate on the word. Ps.39:3. As you meditate on God's word (Information) it brings illumination. Illumination brings Revelation. Revelation brings Transformation. And when you are transformed, you Impact  your Generation.
·         Intentionally create an atmosphere of worship: God lives in the praises of His people. When you create time to worship God, you plug yourself into the power that produces miracles.
·         Live to please God. John 8:29 - And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. When you live to please God, you attract God's presence to yourself. When God's presence is with you, miracles are possible.
THINGS THAT BRING DISCONNECTION
·         Lack of faith – Heb.11:6
·         Carnality – Rom.8:6-8
PRAYER
·         Father, help me to discipline myself to remain connected to you in the name of Jesus.
·         Father, help me to separate myself from every form of carnality disconnecting me from divinity.
·         Father, give me fresh encounter that will usher me into a new level of divine connection.

7 KEYS TO ENFORCING ADVANCEMENT

T The word Enforce means: to make something happen. Advancement on the other hand means: the act of being raised to a higher rank or position. There is no advancement without a cause. In life, being on the same spot for a very long time makes life boring. There is a craving in everyone to move from one level to another, especially, higher levels. God told the children of Israel, “Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount” – Deut.1:6. Even God is not happy when His people are not advancing. One can provoke advancement by applying the keys below:
1.       Believe God – 2Kings 6:26-27; “And he said, if the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? Out of the barn floor or out of the winepress”? There comes a time when we might have tried all we could to move from where are, but couldn’t. It takes strong confidence in God to move from that level to where we aspire to be. 2kings 6:31; 2Chr.20:20
2.       Believe your prophet – 2Kings 7:2; 2Chr.20:20, one of the instruments of advancement is the prophetic. That’s why one needs to leverage on the prophetic word from his pastor by believing in it to enforce advancement.
3.       Be tired of where you are – 2Kings 7:3, until you are tired of where you are, you won’t be able to challenge yourself to move forward.
4.       Be angry – 2Kings 6:31. Anger is an energy. It’s a blessing from God. That’s why you shouldn’t wonder when the scripture says, “Be ye angry, and sin not – Eph.4:26. Take advantage of your it instead of allowing anger to take advantage of you. Let your anger move you to do something that will better your life.
5.       Think: Your quest for advancement should bring you to the point where you give quality time to thinking. What will take you to the next level is already in you. But if you can’t think, you may not discover it. It shouldn’t surprise you to hear that the decision by the four leprous men to leave where they were might have originated from the mind of one them.
6.       Make decision – Thinking should bring us to the point where we make decision. We shouldn’t just think. We should make decision out of thinking.
7.       Take action – “Now therefore come let us fall unto the host of the Syrians”. Action is what brings result.

HOW TO SECURE RESULTS VIA FASTING

 WHAT IS FASTING?

1. The word fast means moving or able to move quickly or happening quickly.

2. Firmly fixed >roots fast in the ground.

3. Ahead of a correct time or schedule.

4. Something that fastens or hold.

5. To eat no food for a period of time.

6. Going by what Jesus said in Matt.17:21, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting; Fasting is a spiritual exercise that makes tremendous power available to handle critical matters. The followings are some of the ways one can secure results via fasting.

Set your Objectives – Isa.58:6. What do you want to achieve? What do you want God to do for you? You must state clearly why you are going into fasting.

Prepare Spiritually – Isa.59:1-2. This is very important because unconfessed sin hinders prayers. We must appear before God with pureness of heart.

Make out time to be alone with God – Gen.32:24-28. During fasting, you study God's word and pray. This not a time to get busy all day.

Be spiritually sensitive to divine promptings – Acts 13:1-2. As you fast and pray, God can impress something in your mind, be Keen to it and grab it with joy, that may be the answer you have been waiting for.

Take actions – Acts 13:3, Deut.1:6-8. After fasting, what's next?Your fasting must be backed up with actions to produce results. If you received any word from God, this is the time to act on that word.

The Holy Spirit and Soul Winning

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God, because God is a Spirit - John 4:24. Without the Holy Spirit soul winning becomes impossible..."No man can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost" - 1 Corinthians 12:3. The Holy Spirit convinces a sinner unto repentance.

Soul winning
Soul winning is the practice of trying to lead lost sinners to the lord Jesus Christ for salvation (Acts 8:35-36). For soul winning to be effective, we need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:8.

Strategies:

1. Prayer: For fruitful soul winning, engaging the Holy Spirit in prayer is a must - Acts 4:30. We receive Spirit's power afresh at the altar of prayer. We receive dynamic power to make God's words in our mouth powerful at the place of prayer.

Prayer must be a deliberate action. Don't leave it to feelings. Leaving prayer to feelings makes one to be prayer less. We are charged to pray without season - 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

2. Passion: Passion for souls is a product of the Holy Spirit - Acts 2:14-16. It can be ignited via the Holy Spirit through prayer. Passion for souls does not just jump on you; you cook it in the place of prayer by keeping the anointing of the Holy Spirit fresh. Without passion, soul winning becomes a struggle. Absence of Spirit’s power breeds lack of passion for souls.

You can’t win the people you don’t have passion for. God can give you strategy on how to win people you have passion for. And people you have passion for, you generate ideas on how to win them.

3. Living a Christ-centered life: The Holy Spirit influences our Character. He makes us to live like Christ - Galatians 5:22-25. Our act of kindness both within and without are key to soul winning. Our Charisma attracts people without, but our character and attitude keeps and retains them. Soul winning is not complete until the souls are retained. Attracting the multitude via our charisma and act of kindness is fantastic, but retaining them makes soul winning complete. Charisma is a special magnetic charm or appeal. Discover that special trait that glues people to you and leverage on it to win souls.

THE MANDATE OF THE CHURCH

  • Mandate is an official authorization given to someone to carry out a particular task.
  • When we talk about the mandate of the church, we mean the task or the work that Jesus has commanded the church to do.
  • In Matt.28:19-20, Jesus speaking to his disciples said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world". From this scripture, it is clear that Jesus commissioned the church to evangelize the world. Soul winning is the major work that Jesus has mandated the church to do.
  • Jesus, in the house of Zacchaeus said, "For the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). The same work Jesus came to do is what he has commanded the church to carry out. In John 20:21, Jesus said, "As my father hath sent me, even so send I you". If Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost, the church is also mandated to carry out the same work.
  • Furthermore, in Mark 16:15, Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature". Preaching to every creature is the heartbeat of our Lord Jesus Christ. He want's the church to make sure that the gospel is heard by every creature. When Jesus called Peter and Andrew, he asked them to follow him and that he would make them fishers of men. They left their fishing profession and became fishers of men(Matt.4:19-20).
  • More so, Luke in his account said, "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem"(Luke 24:47). The church is to preach the gospel to all nations. Without the preaching of the gospel, men will not come to the consciousness of their need for repentance. Repentance brings about the remission or the forgiveness of sins.
  • Finally, Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments"(John 14:15). Without love, the church will not be able to carry out God's commandments. Matt.22:37 says, "Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind". The church should be committed to the preaching of the word and world evangelization. By doing this, it shows that they love God and they are committed to the accomplishment of the great commission.

GOD KIND OF LOVE

Love is a deliberate action of the heart.
It goes beyond thoughts and feelings. It has to do with the will.

Love is unconditional. It does not depend on anything. It is not a product of action demonstrated by someone. It is by choice.

Love goes beyond the state of heart to a physical expression and exhibition of what lies in one's heart. Love which depends on beauty, wealth, handsomeness, money and outward display will not last.
What keeps love ever-fresh is, you love because God commands it. You do not need to love someone because he is good.  Even when someone is bad, you still love the person.

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8). God did not love us because we are good. Even when we are bad or good, he still loves us. As light of the world, we are to do likewise.

8 FACTS YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT THE POWER OF FAITH

Faith can be defined as a strong confidence in God and in His word.
See the power of faith below :

1. Faith calls unseen things in to existence (Heb.11:3): In Gen.1:3, God called light into existence. We are made in the image and likeness of God. He has given us power to act likewise. whatever you say from your mouth is like a seed sowed which germinates and bears fruits(Pro.18:21)

2. It compels one to offer an excellent sacrifice (Heb. 11:4): By faith Abel offered an excellent sacrifice. Without faith, it will be impossible to offer a perfect sacrifice. Every acceptable sacrifice has a high price. If you look at the cost, you may not be able to offer it. What motivates one to give a worthy sacrifice inspite the high value of it, is faith.

3. Faith delivers from death (Heb. 11:5): Enoch did not experience death as a result of his faith. The just shall live by his faith (Rom.1:17). Untimely death can be terminated when faith is enforced. When one exercises his or her faith on God's word concerning longevity, he or she releases the power of faith which terminates premature death.

4. It's a ticket to pleasing God (Heb. 11:6): The requirement for pleasing God is faith. All our righteousness is as a filthy rags (Is.64:6). No man is righteous enough to please God. Exercising our faith in the finished work of Christ qualifies us to please God. We are saved by grace through faith (Eph.2:8).

5. It makes one to obey God's instructions (Heb. 11:7-8): As a result of Abraham's faith, he obeyed God's word when he was called out of his father's house. When one does not believe in what God says, it will be difficult for such to obey his command.

6. Faith qualifies one to be righteous (Heb.11:7): Noah became heir of righteousness by his faith. In the sight of God, righteousness can only be obtained by faith.

7. Faith takes and makes one to possess his promise land (Heb.11:9): Without faith one cannot take delivery of what belongs to him. Faith compels you not to give up even when you are faced with opposition. Caleb, at the age of eighty five was able to defeat the descendants of Anak and took possession of his inheritance by his faith. When you go for what is yours by faith, you will always come back with testimony.

8. Faith terminates barrenness (Heb.11:11): Sarah's womb received strength to conceive at old age through faith. Faith has power to turn every unfruitfulness to fruithfulness.
